1171 - 1181 King Henry II, conquered Ulster and subdued the Ardes

1181 - 1200 John de Courcy, "the Conquerer of Ulster" a principle Retainer of Henry II, created Chief Governor of Ulster

1200 - 1205 King JOHN and John De Courcy had a falling out, King John Authorized Hugh De Lacie to wage war on De Courcy

1205 - 1264 Hugh De Lacie created Earl of Ulster and granted all the Lands of De Courcy

1264 - 1271 Walter De Burgh, acquired the Earldom by marring the Daughter of De Lacy

1271 - 1318 John Fitz Nicholas of Slanes, a principal retainer is the
First recorded holder of the manor

1318 - 1320 King Edward II

1320 - 1539 Prior of St. John of Jerusalem

1539 - 1547 King Henry VIII, closed (suppressed) all the
monastaries taking lands and possessions, by his Crown
